Remember this guy I came up with last week? He's now on a t-shirt, just like I said! I know, I actually did something I said I would do. Our scanner decided to work for once and I printed the design onto transfer paper after whitening all around the face and in some of the flowers. The shirt's too small for me unfortunately, otherwise I'd wear the shit out of it - I like that guy, you just can't tell what emotion is going on there. However, it fits my sister! I'll force her to promote me ;) I'm pleased with how it turned out; things definitely could have been worse.

paper elements
A little piece of cardboard tacked to my wall in the sunset light.. I made this a while ago using a rectangle of cardboard from a perfume box, and pink paper from a musical brochure.. it was a spontaneous decision. These are the symbols of the four elements: fire, air, water, and earth.
I want to read,
breathe trees,
write poetry,
listen to good music,
and never have to work on anything
but my perspective.

totes
Ta daa! This is a tote bag I made yesterday from somebody's old shirt! I think it's a really great idea because they're so easy to make and they're perfect for carrying around books or your yoga mat or basically anything else. They're durable, too. I think I'll sell a few of them this summer.
The one with the raven on it I'm keeping for myself.. that logo is too cool!
(I hate the purple one. Not my colour.)

crafty weekend
This long weekend has been well-needed and well-spent. The deflation of stress from my body (and healthy eating) has left me feeling creative. So, here's a compilation of photos taken over the past few days to show everyone what I've been up to. Isn't that what bloggers do?
I did some painting, and I guess it inspired me to show off my environmentally-friendly paintbrush wipe! Obviously, it's nothing more than a ratty tshirt. BUT, I wear it when I paint so instead of using paper towel, I wipe my dirty water and colours on my shirt. I guess it also works as a smock, so I don't get paint on my good clothes. (Good clothes, ha ha, too funny).
My boyfriend was nice enough to let me take this photo of him; testing out my secret home-made filter.
I don't know why I always look so angry when I attempt to take nice photos of myself.
A little something I want to finish soon.
Finally, this is my plaster owl. Because there was truly nothing else to do, my boyfriend and I took a trip to the Dollarama: bought fresh (and shitty) paint brushes, and plaster animals with google eyes. This is what mine ended up looking like after a day and a half's worth of work.
On an end note, I finally found a disposable camera that I've been looking for in all the wrong places! Thank you, Lisa. Because it's a good night, here's a gooood song.

orange juice pins
While cleaning my room, I came across a box of collage-decorated orange juice can covers. I actually made these at my cottage several years ago, so some of them are kind of dumb or they're just badly put together, but others are still kind of neat. If I could get some glaze or something that wouldn't ruin them, maybe it could be cool to glue pins on the back, and I could sell them. They may or may not look cool on a bag or on a denim jacket. I guess that would be better than having them lying around, anyway.
So here they are, in all their glory. I think my favourites are in the fourth picture down.

cut and fringe
I found this top buried at the back of my closet. It was given to me for Christmas years ago, and I haven't worn it once, mostly because I just don't like the way it fits. Still I've held on to it for so long because I love the pattern and colours. So I took some scissors and cup up the thing. The bottom and sleeves are fringed and and the lower torso is cut into sections, andddd I plucked all the sequins off it as well.

messes
Lately I've been into making collages. I know it's kind of random and maybe a little weird, but I really love pictures. The one above is the only reason why I held onto that issue of Glamour for so long, I guess I find it passionate enough to be beautiful. When I realized I didn't need to keep the rest of the magazine, I destroyed the entire thing with a pair of Crayola scissors and crowded them all onto a scrapbook page. I repeated these same steps with every other magazine in my bedroom, except the National Geographics which I proudly stole from the art room at school. I'll never get bored of flipping through those.
