Safety Not Guaranteed

Just recently I watched Safety Not Guaranteed on Netflix, for no reason at all. (Sometimes you gotta just pick one, or you'll never end up watching anything). Not as good as I'd hoped it'd be for 4 stars, but it wasn't a bad movie. Regardless, I took screenshots of scenes I found funny or visually pleasing, and here they are, because I have no other place to put them. Enjoy.

The Pretty One

Whenever I watch movies online, I do this thing where I screenshot every scene that is visually pleasing to me. I don't know why - I have nowhere to put them except for this blog. But alas, whatever!! Here is my collection of pretty scenes from The Pretty One, a movie starring adorable Zoe Kazan (as twins). This was a nice movie to watch, not too intense, funny at times, a little strange perhaps, but nice. And I would recommend it for these reasons, but mostly for Zoe - I think she was excellent.

Begin Again

I watched this movie last night, and LOVED it!! For many reasons. It's about music, and it's about what music means to you as an individual, and it's about choosing to do your own thing. And the music was really quite fantastic; I certainly never knew Keira Knightley could sing, but her voice is distinct and lovely. The acting was excellent as well - seriously, compare the Mark Ruffalo from, say, 13 Going On 30 to the Mark Ruffalo in this movie. Same actor, completely different characters, and that's what I love about good acting. I love this movie, and the soundtrack, and I'm sure you will, too.

Also, major style inspiration from Keira Knightley.

The Runaways

Today was snowy and lazy, so I cuddled up in my wolf blanket and watched one of my favourite movies for the fourth time: The Runaways. It's based on the real Runaways, the first all-girls band to play aggressive rock n roll. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning play Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, and they did so well! I love the soundtrack and always end up listening to it for a week straight after watching the movie, haha.
